My personal breaking news and meteorology service has texted me to say that we are under an ice storm warning from 6:00 p.m. tonight through noon Wednesday.
And we just ran out of hot cocoa. Rats.

Crisis averted, power restored
What an unpleasant way to spend the morning! It has to be 50 degrees in the house now.
Nearby FB friends lost power too, some commenting about pioneer days. I wouldn’t have done well back then. Too prissy and too opinionated to survive.
Unless I could have been Dr. Michaela Quinn and had Sully to help me from time to time.
Power out, contemplating panic
Power went out in our house about 25 minutes ago. I waited a bit, then called Jeremy, then reported the power outage.
It’s 24 degrees outside and very cold in my house already, so a fire is going.
Called neighbor Mick and he said their power is out, their house is already dropping temperature, but they were headed out for an appointment.
