In Defense of FB
Over a recent dinner with a girlfriend, the topic of Facebook came up.
She won’t get an account because of start up funds from the CIA or something along those lines, but also, not wanting private companies to have so much information about her.
Jeremy countered that there are so many people online, there’s no way “they” can keep track of us all. She said, yes, there...
Gabriel Byrne
Listening to Gabriel Byrne on NPR. This baby might just be named Gabriel Byrne Aidan Quinn Johnson!
And I will teach him to speak to me with an Irish accent.
Busy Weekend
We have weekends with zero plans beyond Sunday morning church. Then we have weekends like this one, including a double date, out of town guest*, adult birthday party and graduation party.
I’m tired already!
*Can you please move back to N. Texas, man?
The Air We Breathe
I hope all of you are aware that the American Lung Assoc. has given the Metro area an F on our quality of air. Much of the pollutants come from the cement kilns Middalothian. The EPA held a public hearing at DFW last week which went onto 8 p.m.

Jeremy...
To Tease or Not to Tease
On two consecutive days this week, I was asked by a six-year-old and then a four-year-old, both boys, “Why is your stomach so big?”
I wanted to say, “Because I didn’t listen to my Mommy and I ate too many sweets” and “Because I had an accident blowing up my balloon” and a few others.
But instead I said, “Because I am growing a baby inside...
Baby Registry
Started a baby registry today at two national chains. Sorry to see so few Made in U.S.A. clothing options for kiddos.
My favorite baby retailer, Baby Style, closed nationally earlier this year. I miss you, Baby Style.
Owen helped me use a scanner today to register and thought it was a lot of fun. He helped pick out items for his brother and wanted lots of toys “for the baby”. Yeah...
Owen's First Prayer
This morning, after discussing that it was still dark because of the storm, and that the sun would come up more later, I heard Owen moments later:
“Dear God, Let the sun be out all day.”
My evangelical mother would be so proud.
