Next Time
Two hour committee meeting ate up all my fake beer time. Oh well.

Unbelievable Indeed!
Unfortunately, my mother gets the bulk of her information on current events from a local evangelical fundamentalist, Republican radio station.
Fortunately, she has me for a daughter.
This morning she questioned the validity of an e-mail from a friend. I set her straight. Read from the bottom up. Also, what the heck are “invectious deaths”?

I don’t stay up late enough to watch the late shows, so thanks to a friend for passing this on.
Very funny.
Not On My Diet
The coconut snow cone I am about to enjoy is not on my diet.
Midwife said to cut all sweets to prevent another giant baby like Owen (9 lbs., 4 oz.). I’ve given up alcohol, caffeine and sleep for Baby Boy Johnson. I’m not giving up tonight’s snow cone.
I take a picture of your bottom every day and post to KathleensButt.com....
– Jeremy after I yelled at him to stop taking pictures of my backside this morning during breakfast prep.
Final Pregnant MCD Meeting
Ready for my final Mid-Cities Democrats meeting before the baby arrives. Yea!
Come on out!
Independence Day at the White House and President Obama’s health care plan are the topics of the July meeting of the Mid-Cities Democrats, Thursday, July 23rd at the Sheet Metal Workers’ Union Hall, 1020 S. Industrial Boulevard, from 7:00 p.m.-onward. Arlington resident Shandra Jackson is...
Bright Spots
My grandmother’s online condolence book is still active on the Website for the funeral home my uncle and mother used. I haven’t looked at it since last fall, but a new entry was shared by my aunt:
“The earth feels lonely without Becky. When you were fortunate to know her, she kept you close to her heart. She sheltered you with her love and devotion. When you think about God...
You're Welcome!
Enjoying the rain?
With a 20% chance of rain, we did a deep garden and lawn watering.
And that brought the rain. So you’re welcome.
Thankful for Great Friends
Today’s my party for baby no-name.
I have friends that have driven in from hundreds of miles away to be with me and five great girlfriends that have organized my event.
I am so thankful for so many great friends. I am very blessed.

Guess Which I Prefer
Adjective and noun used to describe my big pregnant self today: “blossomed”, “kangaroo”.
KBH
Saw my first Kay Bailey Hutchison for Governor bumper sticker today.
It’s going to be a fun GOP Primary!
Faux News on Marrying "Pure" →
Unbelievable, yet, on Faux News, so believable.
"I win!"
I’m at the Nashville Airport with my boys. Jeremy has walked us all over eastern Tennessee and I am ready to be home.
I walked into the ladies room and passed two older airport workers visiting and showing each other their large bellies (not a common sight for me).
I pointed to my own large, pregnant belly and annnounced that I win.
They both howled laughing and agreed.

The Hermitage
Sweating at The Hermitage, home of President Andrew Jackson.
This morning Jeremy showed O a $20 bill and said we were going to his house. Jeremy asked Owen if he knew why Jackson was on the paper money. O answered, “Because he likes to spend money and he’s a president.” Correct and correct!
In Nashville
Watching a documentary of the 1994 tour of “The Highwaymen” at the Willie Nelson and Friends museum and store (directly adjacent to the Cooter’s store).
Owen liked the fake pigtail/bandana accessory we wore for him. Took my picture with Wille Nelson and Bo and Luke Duke cutouts. Owen watched his first “Dukes of Hazzard” show. Sorry to leave Chattanooga, though. We...
Rehearsal Dinner
Big brother cried during his brief speech at the wedding rehearsal dinner. Is this the same softy that threw a vase at me when we were kids?
Back from Rock City
Spent a great deal of time sweating and holding my breath at Rock City. The boys loved it, but I don’t like heights. Or narrow tunnels. Or cliff ledges. I had to hold on to Jeremy to walk to the “Lover’s Leap”.
Owen has no fear. I’m glad these hang-ups of mine were not transferred to him. He already has my stubbornness and his yelling sounds more and more like mine!
Talking to Strangers
This afternoon/evening Owen told random people riding the electric shuttle buses that, “We are having a baby,” while pointing to me and “I’ve been to Poland… I’ve been to lots of states.”
First Attractions
Boys saw modern art at the Hunter Museum, I saw heaven in the glass collection at the Houston Museum for the Decorative Arts. Wow!
Where's Al?
TN welcome center does not have a life-sized portrait of Al Gore. I’m disappointed.
First Thoughts on TN
Beautiful mountains with lush greenery, fireworks must be very popular, shirt and shoes are “appreciated”, but not required.
