After a friendly discussion on circumcision, I looked up the American Cancer Society:
“Most experts agree that circumcision should not be recommended as a way to prevent penile cancer.”

Blessing Baby Hale
Our assoc. pastor stopped by to say a blessing prayer with us for Hale.
It was lovely.

My boys met today.
Owen patted Hale and called him “Baby Hale”.
Owen held Hale for a moment, then asked me to take him back. Owen was ready to play with Daddy.
Ted Kennedy's Death
Baby’s middle name will be Edward in honor of my father-in-law (99% sure). But I will tell people it’s in honor of Ted Kennedy.

Watching “White House Revealed” on Smithsonian Channel to keep my mind off the baby wait.
Love is...
When I lived in Varna, ages 15-16, my favorite bubble gum came wrapped in the little pictures of the little man and little woman that said “Love is…” with some picture of a loving something. Do you know those?
Well, love is a friend that comes over and does my laundry and makes my kiddo’s bed because I am too big to bend over.
Missed His Arrival
Yesterday afternoon I began having contractions every 15 minutes. They were strong and they hurt. They increased to every four minutes, then to two minutes. I didn’t think Jeremy was going to make it home in time.
In-laws came to keep Owen and my mother left her work to meet us in Dallas.
At first check in, my mid-wife said to try to relax and that I was getting close to hyperventilating....

Job Perks
In Jeremy’s continuous effort to irritate me, he got in the car and informed me that on the final day of intern competition, beers and margaritas were served.
Last week it was homemade ice cream in the foyer.
Before that cricket tournaments, before that a kickball tournament. At his previous firm, it was ping pong tournaments and seemingly weekly birthday cake complete birthday...
Sotomayor Confirmation Celebration
Today, by a 68 - 31 vote, the U.S. Senate overwhelmingly voted to confirm Judge Sonia Sotomayor as the next Associate Justice of the Supreme Court!

I will be making Jeremy’s presentation on self-marketing and personal branding this morning at “Career Connections”. I couldn’t make any of his presentations this year - Refresh, Big (D)esign, etc. as they all conflicted with Dem meetings/functions I led.
