Jeremy and I are home from a fun weekend in Austin, which included the campaign headquarters opening for Mayor Lee Leffingwell, who is running for his second term. The mayor promoted increased voter participation, transparency in spending, “Austin’s checkbook online for everyone to see”, and access to elected officials. Wow.
Grapevine deserves the same!

Dear Editor,
In your Feb. 8 edition, a letter writer discusses term limits and Grapevine City Council member’s incentive to run and remain in office by stating wrongly, “there is no incentive in being a council member.” Actually, there are incentives, which are unparalleled in our neighboring cities and across most of Texas.
Council members report more than $10,000.00 annually...
