Home from the doctor for more waiting and seeing. Hale still won’t eat.
He talked to the doctor and all the nurses — he’s feeling a little better.
They gave him so many stickers for his shirt (Elmo, Lightning McQueen, Cookie Monster), that they filled up his little chest.

An Opportunity for Transparency!

In the latest publication of “The Grapevine”, the city asks for your input on a new municipal website. Please tell them you want video recorded council meetings to be available online, just like they are for our neighboring cities. 
All Grapevine residents deserve to know what happens in council meetings — not just those who are physically able to be on Main Street at 7:30 p.m., on a Tuesday night, or those who know each council member by their voice. Audio recordings are a 1950s solution to transparency in government. It’s 2012.

Jeremy and I are home from a fun weekend in Austin, which included the campaign headquarters opening for Mayor Lee Leffingwell, who is running for his second term. The mayor promoted increased voter participation, transparency in spending, “Austin’s checkbook online for everyone to see”, and access to elected officials. Wow. 

Grapevine deserves the same!
