Ready for my final Mid-Cities Democrats meeting before the baby arrives. Yea!

Independence Day at the White House and President Obama’s health care plan are the topics of the July meeting of the Mid-Cities Democrats, Thursday, July 23rd at the Sheet Metal Workers’ Union Hall, 1020 S. Industrial Boulevard, from 7:00 p.m.-onward.

Arlington resident Shandra Jackson is just back from spending Independence Day at the White House, at the invitation of the President and First Lady. She will share her experience will our members and guests followed by Joe Duffy, the new regional director of Organizing for America (formally Obama for America), who will discuss the President’s health care plan and the groups’ current and future goals for Tarrant County.

Attendees should arrive at 6:30 p.m. to socialize and eat. A small dinner will be provided for a $5 suggested donation. The meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. Bring a friend!
