Letter to the Editor… That Wasn’t Published

Submitted September 14, 2009 to “Star-Telegram” and “Grapevine Courier”:

As a 1995 Grapevine High School graduate and a Grapevine tax payer, I am embarassed and angry that Dr. Kay Waggoner chose to deny the school children of our community the opportunity to hear a message on personal responsibility and the importance of education from President Obama.

Since making the same decision on last week’s live national address, both the Arlington ISD and Denton ISD superintendents have apologized. It is time for Dr. Waggoner to do the same.
